Description

A wonderful example of Sorrento Ware, and most unusual too, I haven't actually had a Sorrento box with the interior of the lid inlaid, so this makes this example rather special.

The lid is beautifully inlaid with a figural winged Cherub scene, this is the scene replicated on the interior of the lid. All four sides are also beautifully decorated with intricate inlay.

The box retains it's original fabric interior and comes complete with a working key. Excellent condition, measuring 10 1/2" x 4" x 3" tall.
