Vintage 1950s Kienzle Hand Winding Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A vintage 1950s Kienzle wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two to three minutes over 24 hours. The movement is stamped Kienzle, 51/ODF, Made in Germany.

The watch was originally made as a gents watch but would suit a slimmer wrist and also work as a ladies watch. The watch measures 30 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and 37.3 mm including the lugs. The chrome plated case has light surface marking from use and but otherwise it is in nice condition. The case back is stainless steel.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed Kienzle, antimagnetic with Foreign at the bottom. The dial is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

Price includes free worldwide postage.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
