A beautiful brown tortoiseshell mantel clock, with finely cast orginal gilt bronze (ormolu) mounts .

The fine quality brown tortoiseshell veneered case with finely cast ormolu mounts, surmounted with a cherub.

The one piece convex enamelled dial with Roman numeral chapter ring with Arabic outer markings.

The fine quality spring driven 8 day movement striking the hours and half hour on a single bell, with rise and fall mechanism. stamped on the back plate with serial number and Paris.

Beautiful blued steel hands.
