Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1960s.
This is a very fine and beautiful example of a ladies wristwatch made by the Swiss maker Bucherer.
It has a solid 18ct white gold case surrounded by small diamonds and yet more diamonds to the bow decorated shoulders, this is complemented by the cabachon sapphire winding crown, It is fitted to a new slim black leather strap.
It has Swiss hallmarks and dates to around 1960.
The 21 jewel manual wind movement is an absolute gem, sparkling clean and in like new condition, this is a movement from the golden age of Swiss watchmaking.
It comes complete with a Bucherer presentation box to keep your watch in perfect condition.
This would be a superb accessory for that 'little black dress'.
The watch case measures 17mm in diameter not including the crown.
Overall this watch is in beautiful condition and looks as if it was hardly ever worn, it would certainly make a perfect gift.
This watch has been fully and professionally overhauled by the respected Omega watch specialist Alan Williams FBHI, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
The watch is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers original parts. every part is then throughly cleaned in a 3 stage ultrasonic cleaning process.
The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturer approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The watch movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and the watch sealed.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give reliable and dependable service and will not require any further attention for many years.
