Gents 1954 9ct Gold Rotary Automatic Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 9 carat gold Rotary wrist watch.

The watch has an automatic movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good.

The watch measures 32mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1954. The case has light surface marks and a small split to the bezel but overall it is in good condition with no personalised engraving.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial and original hands are in lovely condition, making the watch both charming and very wearable.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a vintage presentation box from Biggs of Maidenhead, a high class retailer trading until 1970.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
