About The Artist
Henry W. Henley was born in 1865 and lived much of his life in and around Birmingham. His parents encouraged him in his artistic talent. His work influenced by the old masters and paintings he saw as a child in local art galleries.
He specialised in landscape views of Wales and Scotland and his work is popular with collectors. He is listed in the Dictionary of British Artists.

Oil on Canvass in later gilt frame.
Condition report:
A small tear in canvass to lower right (see photo) along with a very small tear to lower middle. Craquelure and stretcher marks commensurate with age.
