Gents 1921 Silver Fleurier Wrist Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

A gent's silver wrist watch by the Fleurier Watch Company.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, with 15 jewels, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two to three minutes over 24 hours. The movement has the FWC mark for the Fleurier Watch Company

The watch measures 32mm wide excluding the winding crown and 32mm high excluding the lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for Birmingham (import mark), 1921, with the maker's mark for FWC again. There are some marks to the case, including two indentations to the case back, but overall the condition is acceptable for an early piece.

The watch glass has minor marking, barely visible to the naked eye.

The enamel dial is in lovely condition with blued steel Breguet-style hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A later black leather strap has been fitted, and an extra hole has been pushed through to make it suitable for a smaller wrist.
