Description

This antique mahogany bow fronted chest is a period Georgian piece, probably dating to around the 1820's period. It's in good condition, with the drawers working well & no major splits or warps. The top & drawer fronts are flame mahogany, while the rest is more of a straight grain mahogany. The drawers are graduated in depth & they are oak lined with fine dovetails. They have locks on all the drawers, but I don't know if they work or not. Personally, I don't advise using old locks, in case they jam. There are also etched brass escutcheons & handles, which aren't original to the piece, but at the same time they are old & this is how I obtained it. The base is shaped out all around & sits on elegant splayed legs.
