Antique .800 Silver Stem Winding Pocket Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

Antique .800 silver stem winding pocket watch.

The watch has a jewelled stem-winding movement which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to around 2 - 3 minutes over 24 hours. The movement is protected by an inner cover which has details of the movement engraved upon it and a previous owner has scratched their initials into it.

The watch measures 50.2 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. There are areas of unevenness and wear but overall the condition is acceptable for a piece from the early 1900s.

The watch lens is glass and is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.

The dial is enamel and it has some hairline cracks radiating from the centre. Original blued steel hands (pin set), subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track with numbers.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
