Description

A beautiful late Victorian or early Edwardian set of fruit or desert knives and forks, with stunning Mother of Pearl or Nacre handles with it's iridescent quality.

The set for six comes in it's original Mahogany presentation box, the interior of the lid is gold embossed with the retailer's name " Ernest Scanlan, Preston".

Both the knives and forks are marked "Rodgers" for JOSEPH RODGERS & SONS, the famous firm of cutlers and silversmiths founded in Sheffield in 1682.

All in excellent condition. The knives measuring 7 3/4" long and the forks, 6 1/2" long. The presentation box measures 9 3/4" x 6 1/4".
