Royal Worcester "Fruit" Vase

1920 - 1940
Description

An impressive and quite large ROYAL WORCESTER porcelain VASE, hand painted with various fruit against a background of leaves and a mossy path, and highlighted in gilt.

It is signed by the artist: H.H. Price**. 7.25ins (18.5cms) high.

** Horace H. Price was born in 1898 and started work at the Royal Worcester factory in 1912 aged just 14. He painted fruit of all types and left to fight in the First World War, where he lost a finger of his right hand. He returned afterwards and became foreman of all the apprentices, and died in 1965.
