Fine Original Drop-dial Wall Clock

Description

A great quality and thoroughly original early/mid 19th century WALL CLOCK by Farrington of Bristol.

Of typical late Regency/early Victorian design, the mahogany case features carved 'ears' either side of the cushion-shape trunk, which is inlaid and features a brass-framed pendulum viewing window.

The 8-day fusee movement is of very good quality, and retains its fine convex dial, with its original paintwork in remarkable original condition. Cast brass bezel; original blued steel "moon" hands ~ a fine clock in all departments!
