William IV Armchair C.1835.

Description

Fabulous early 19th.c. upholstered mahogany armchair c.1835. Unusual design, with a bow shaped buttoned backrest and arms without the usual front supports. Quality mahogany frame with crisp foilate carving to the front of the arms and large scrolling supporting brackets for strength. Generously proportioned sprung seat and raised on turned and reeded front legs with the original brown pot and brass castors. Very good unrestored condition, solid and sturdy with serviceable covers.

Dimensions: width 29", depth 29", height 34".
