FB Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
All of the handles are original to the chest, it has original iron locks, one lock is missing, which we can replace with a similar iron or steel lock if needed. The chest splits into two parts for ease of transport, so the chest can easily be taken up a small stair case.
