Antique Empire Style Marble Top Brass Mounted Ebonized Console Table

Description

Very unusual antique Empire ebonized console side table with a marble top, brass sections & brass fittings. This item is quite old, but I find it hard to put an exact date on it. The marble has been replaced, because it was badly damaged. The table itself was quite distressed & the brass was dirty, so it's all been re-polished. It could be 19th century & French, but I'm not sure. This table is very slim from back to front & the marble just lifts off. It is free standing, but needs to be against a wall, otherwise it would be easy to knock over. This table would look good in contemporary or traditional settings.

Depth - 10.2", 26 cm

Height - 30.8", 78 cm
