The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is signed Limit and is protected by an inner hinged dust cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The front and sides of the watch are in good condition; the back has some marking and a series of little 'dings'.
The watch glass is in good condition.
The watch has an enamel dial, signed Limit, Swiss Made. There is a hairline crack at the edge of the dial, between IIII and V, but it is barely visible to the naked eye. Other than that, the dial is in good condition with just a little discolouration around the centre. It has bold black Roman numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. The minute hand is a later replacement.
