Gents 1950s Arugo Hand Winding Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A 1950s gents Arugo hand-winding wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement, with 15 jewels, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around 2 - 3 minutes over a 24 hour period.

The watch measures 35.1 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The chrome plated case has some marks but is acceptable for a 1950s piece. The case back is stainless steel.

The lens is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Arugo, 15 Jewels, Shockproof, Swiss Made. It is in good condition with just the odd minor mark. The watch has dauphine shaped hands, centre seconds and outer minute markers.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
