Pair of Antique French Walnut & Needlepoint Salon Armchairs

1900 - 1920
Description

This pair of antique French salon armchairs are still upholstered in the original needlepoint fabric which is still in very good condition. The wood is walnut or beech & it's beautifully carved. The open arms are padded & they are individually hand tacked all over. They are in good condition throughout & I would date them to around the 1910 period. I think one of the seats is dropping down a bit, because there is a loose web. This will be fixed before they go out.

Depth - 23.6", 60 cm

Height - 34.2", 87 cm

Seat height - 16", 41 cm
