Superb All Brass 4ft 6 Bed (Double) Hoskins & Sewell

Description

A superb all brass 4ft 6" double bed of the highest quality, stamped and made by renowned makers "Hoskins & Sewell". This highly rare and unusual bed having elaborate reeded knobs with large ring decoration along with fluted decoction to the upright supports. Both the foot and head end having fluted and ring turnings, both ends with a gadrooned centred flower motif, the whole raised on the original porcelain castors. This is one of the finest quality beds we have ever seen and the condition is wonderful and original throughout. This bed comes complete with a wooden slatted base that will take a standard double (4ft6) mattress. English, Circa 1880.
