The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is signed Elgin Nat'l Watch Co, USA and it has the serial number 24,992,061 which dates it back to around 1922. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has been engraved with the date 2/4/24.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The watch has a gold filled full hunter case which was made by the Keystone Watch Co, USA. The front of the case has the beautifully engraved initials JLS. The case is in lovely condition for its age with just minor surface marks.

The plastic lens is in good condition.
The white enamel dial is signed Elgin, Made in USA. There is a short hairline crack running through number 7 but otherwise it is in very nice order with blued steel hands, subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
