Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
This watch is rare in as much as the case is of solid 14ct rose gold, the colour is glourious and this is complimented by the silver dial with sub seconds dial and peacock blue steel hands - very much of the Art Deco era.
The dial is in superb condition as is the glass and the case professionally cleaned and polished.
It has a calibre 72 17 jewel manual wind movement.
As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case.
Girard Perregaux are one of the most exclusive watchmakers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance that whispers class.
The watch case measures 33mm long and 24mm wide not including the crown, the actual face is 22mm square.
Overall this watch is in outstanding condition.
The watch has just been fully overhauled and serviced by Alan Williams FBHI. It has been fully authenticated and found to be a genuine Girard Perregaux in all respects. This watch has been fully and professionally overhauled, the process is highly detailed and meticulous
The watch is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under high magnification for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers original parts. every part is then throughly cleaned in a 3 stage ultasonic cleaning process.
The watch movement is then fully assembled using manufacturer approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The watch movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. the cases are polished and the watch sealed.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give reliable and dependable service and will not require any further attention for many many years.
The watch movement comes with a full 1 year warranty.
