A Large French Gilt Arched Over Mantle Mirror

The over mantle as it name implies was made to sit over the mantel piece and as so many fireplaces are opposite the window Mirrors were used to reflect more light into the room

This is a very large piece of genuine French shabby chic gilt furnishing the looking glass is not perfect it has a little foxing

The Old Gold frame is 3” wide and has had the odd repair in the past but it has been well disguised with gilded polish

This is a very heavy piece some of the fixings are still present and it has a solid wooden back

The Mirror is 63” high, 46” wide
