Description

An excellent quality hand carved antique fire surround in hardwood. The inverted breakfront mantel shelf above a well carved floral frieze flaked either side by two hand carved paterae beneath which are two corbels carved in a acanthus leaf pattern and trailing reel decoration to a French paper scroll base. This fireplace awaits the finish of your choice from a simple wax polish to a decorative paint finish. In excellent condition commensurate with its age. Circa 1930. Measures 50”w x 43”h x 7”d. Opening is 33”w x 33”h
