Description

A fabulous large French cut glass tea caddy made from a good heavy piece of faceted crystal with an oval ground pontil mark on the underside where it was hand blown.

The top is mounted with a stunning decorative sterling silver lid marked in two places, beautifully engraved and a central engine turned panel. In the very centre is a very grand Armorial Crest, clearly for a very grand family, incorporating a regal crown.

Excellent condition dating to around 1880, measuring 4" x 2 3/4" x 4 1/2" tall.
