Gilt-bronze ' ovolo and dart ' edge rim and bowls , gilt-bronze knopped stem and raised on 'verde antico'/green marble bases. Bas-relief design of a dancing bacchanalian procession with Dionysus (God of wine) and Ariadne , with twin satyr-mask handles. Some minor discolouration to interior of one vase bowl. The marble original now in Louvre Museum , Paris, having been removed from Italy by Napoleon.
