Description

Antique 1875 silver Improved Patent fusee pocket watch.

The watch has a key-winding fusee movement which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to around five to ten minutes over 24 hours (the watch comes with an antique winding key). The fusee movement, which is numbered 52698, has its original dust cover.

The watch measures 53.9 mm diameter excluding the loop. The case has London hallmarks for 1875 with the case makers mark IH (John William Hammon). The case is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.

The watch lens is glass and has age related surface marks from use.

The dial is signed Improved Lever. The dial has a faint hairline crack under the sub seconds dial but otherwise it is in nice condition.
