Antique English Art Nouveau Grape Shears C.1890

Description

A lovely pair of grape shears or scissors, dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890.

Made from silver plate or EPNS (Electro-Plated Nickel Silver). The handles are decorated with a very organic stylised Art Nouveau design, typical of this period.

The shears come complete with their original presentation box with some black fabric tape to the back which is obviously there as the hinged side must have worn.

Excellent condition and lovely to have the original case. The shears measure 6 3/4" in length and the box measures 8" x 3".
