Rare Georgian Yew Wood Work Table

19th century
Description

A small very elegant late 18th century table that would look stunning as a lamp table or beside a sofa

It is an hexagonal table, polished all the way round so completely free standing. The exquisite top has yew wood veneers fanning out from a cientrsl small circle.

Every edge including the legs are ebony strung. It has a cross stretcher supporting the elegant slim square tapered legs..

The top lifts to reveal a perfectly fitting tray for needlework. This can be removed.

It is all in excellent condition, having a lovely patina.
