Gents Oris Wrist Watch, 1950s

1940 - 1960
Description

A good looking 1950s gents Oris wrist watch.

The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement, calibre 392KIF, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good. The movement is signed Oris Watch Co, Swiss.

The watch measures 33mm wide excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is plated and the condition is good for a 1950s watch with just minor marking. The screw-on case back is stainless steel.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The dial is signed Oris, Waterproof, Anti-Shock, 15 Jewels, Swiss Made. As with any vintage watch, I would not rely on it still being waterproof. There is some light marking but overall it is very acceptable for a 1950s piece. Original hands and red centre seconds hand.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
