Pair Boxed Antique English Sterling Silver Napkin Rings - 1903

Description

A fabulous pair of quality Edwardian sterling silver napkin rings sitting in their original presentation box.

The rings are a good weight and beautifully decorated with a pierced or reticulated design surrounding a central shield-shaped cartouche to the front of each.

There is a full hallmark for Birmingham 1903 together with the makers initials for the silversmith, Payton, Pepper & Sons Ltd. of Vyse Street, Birmingham.

The cream silk on the interior of the box is signed by the retailer: "Edw d E Bishop. Diamond Merchant, Bournemouth".

Excellent condition, each napkin ring measuring 1 1/4" thick x 1 3/4" in diameter; the box measuring 5 1/2" x 3" x 2 3/4".
