Charming Antique Black Forest Figural (Dog) Inkwell with Whisky Barrel C.1890

Description

A wonderful and very charming figural hand carved Dog's head from the Black Forest and dating to around 1890.

The dog has carved Whisky flask attached to his collar, the carving is excellent including such detail as the collar and buckle around his neck.

He is lucky enough to have retained his original glass eyes. The head opens to reveal a glass liner for the ink.

Excellent condition, measuring 4" x 3 1/4" x 3 3/4" tall.
