The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gun metal with gold embellishments. As with the majority of gun metal cases, there are some marks but overall the condition is pleasing for its age.

The watch glass is in good condition.
The dial is signed John Dyson & Sons, Leeds, Rough Wear, Swiss Made. 'Rough Wear' was designed 'for Gentlemen going on Active Service or for rough wear'. The dial is enamel and there is a small 1mm hole on the number V but, other than that, the dial is in good condition. John Dyson are a long established jewellers, still trading in Leeds today. The watch has blued steel hands and a subsidiary seconds dial.
Also included is the gun metal double albert. Each chain measures 21cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
