This beautiful tool was made in Ayr by Stewart Spiers in the second quarter of the 19th century. The steel, rosewood and brass construction are of an extremely high standard and it is in very good original condition, with only minor signs of ware. The plane has a 2.5 inch Oseley & Sons, Warranted Cast steel blade.

13.5 inches long and 2.75 inches wide.
