A Good Mahogany Victorian Period Antique Partners Desk

Description

A good mahogany Victorian Period antique partners desk. Having a rectangular solid mahogany top with an inset green leather writing surface with blind and gilt tooled detail. The front with an arrangement of nine mahogany lined drawers retaining their original turned mahogany drawer pulls, locks and working key. The drawer fronts all in beautifully figured mahogany. The partners side having three mahogany lined drawers and conforming left and right opening cupboards, opening to reveal an adjustable shelved interior. Supported on a solid mahogany plinth. English circa 1860-1880

Dimensions: 54" wide x 36" deep x 30" high (knee hole 24" wide x 24" high)

Condition: This desk is in excellent original condition. A wonderful warm colour and patination. The leather is worn in places commensurate with age and use.
