Of course what makes this so very special and highly collectible is the wonderful cast brass Cat's face mount to the front sporting his original glass eyes; I haven't had one of these for around five years; so was delighted to find this on a recent buying trip.
Dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890. The purse measures 2" x 2 1/4" and 5" including the chain.
