A Carved Duck Decoy - Drake Ring Neck Duck Circa 1930

Description

A hand carved pine duck decoy, painted as a drake ring neck duck and probably originating from America. The piece is hand painted pine with glass eyes. The distinctive white side flashed and white band above the bill of a ring neck duck are hand painted. The piece has carved detail on the flanks and the bill is well carved. Below there are the original ballast and tether fixing and a painted spot where it has been attached to a stand.
