Impressive run of three Edwardian stacking office bookcases by the Globe Wernicke Co. c.1910. Shown here as three 6' tall stacks they can of course be easily reconfigured to stand in any arrangement you desire. 13 bookcase sections of graduated heights with Wernicke’s patented lift and slide door mechanism, these are unusual having leaded glass and locks to each of the doors. Excellent quality, with solid mahogany sides, shaped cornice pieces and plinths featuring a useful single drawer to each . Copperized knobs and handles, brass locks and original Globe Wernike labels printed with the company motto ‘Always complete but never fininshed’. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
