Antique Georgian Carved Oak Hall Chair

Description

An unusual antique Georgian hall chair in carved oak dating from circa 1800. With a pierced and fluted urn form back, solid seat and four chamfered tapered legs. The tapered legs have six sides, with visible joints to the seat. This chair has design that appears to be Welsh or Irish but with an Italian renaissance influenced design to the back. A very interesting chair that would make a great statement piece.

Very solid. Wear and marks commensurate with age.Some old splits to the oak.
