Large Antique English Sterling Silver Pill Box - Chester 1898

Description

A wonderful quality little box, large for a pill box measuring 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 1" tall.

The box is beautifully shaped with a domed lid. The hinged lid fits perfectly and securely. Once opened, the box reveals an interior washed in gold, the gilt in pristine condition, it almost looks unused or untouched.

The underside is where the full English hallmark can be found for the highly collectible Chester assay office and the year 1898, making this a true Victorian example. The makers mark is also present for the top notch silversmith, John & William Deakin.

Excellent condition.
