Antique Victorian Deep Buttoned Leather Chesterfield Sofa

1900 - 1920
Description

This deep buttoned brown leather chesterfield sofa is a real character piece & very comfortable too. The original leather is in very good original condition & is naturally distressed, with a wonderful original colour. There are no rips or splits, only natural old markings. It's hand studded & sits on bun feet. Please do not confuse this chesterfield with all the mass produced ones out there. This one was hand made & hand coloured a long time ago. I would say it dates to around the 1890-1910 period, although it could be older & you can feel all the crisp horse hair underneath the leather. This chesterfield has a wonderful worn in look that is impossible to replicate. Please check out & enlarge all the images.
