A 19th Century cast spelter group titled "Vercingetorix". A lovely quality casting and patina. This is a 19th Century reduction copy of the Statue of Vercingetorix by Frédéric Bartholdi, on Place de Jaude, in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

Dimensions: 19" wide x 22" high x 9" deep

Vercingetorix was the chieftain of the Arverni tribe, who united the Gauls in a revolt against Roman forces during the last phase of Julius Caesar's Gallic Wars. Born 82 BC. Died 46 BC, Rome Italy

Condition: This spelter group is in superb original condition and patina
