A Yew Wood 19th Century Windsor Armchair

Description

A yew wood 19th century low backed windsor arm chair. With the traditional hooped back and a pierced vase shaped splat, yew wood spindles and curved arms. The generous saddle shaped seat in elm, supported on four on turned legs united by a yew wood crinoline stretcher. The front legs in yew wood, the rear legs are another fruitwood as was the original common practice with these chairs. English circa 1850-1860

Dimensions: 36" high x 16" deep x 22" wide (seat height 17")

Condition: This chair is in superb original condition, wonderful colour and patination
