Antique Welsh Oak Spinning Chair Dated 1900

1900 - 1920
Description

A wonderful antique Welsh spinning chair with elaborately carved back, dated 1900 and with initials “LDE” carved into the back. The back has leaf and vine carving with a heart shaped lozenge to the top with monogram and the date 1900. It has a carved seat and stands on 4 carved and shaped square legs.

Construction/Wood:

Oak

Condition Report:

Solid. Some old splits underneath the seat, wear and marks commensurate with age. Some wear to the feet.

Depth: 10.5 inches

Height to seat: 15 inches

Overall Height: 39 inches
