Description

A Stunning Quality mahogany inlaid Edwardian Period bookcase by Maple & Co. The upper section with a stepped and moulded cornice with inlaid dentil detail and a satinwood cross banded frieze above the twin astragal glazed doors, with a beautiful quality cast handle and escutcheon. The doors cross banded in satinwood and with boxwood line inlaid detail, which open to reveal three mahogany adjustable shelves. The solid mahogany ends also having satinwood cross banded detail. The lower section having a solid mahogany top cross banded in satinwood above twin beautifully figured solid mahogany panelled doors with geometric boxwood inlay and further satinwood cross banding, which open to reveal a single shelved interior. The whole supported on a solid mahogany plinth. English circa 1900-1910

Dimensions: 90" high x 50" wide x 18" deep at base x 11" deep at top

Condition: This bookcase is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. Beautiful warm colour and patination
