A Stunning Quality Mahogany Late Victorian Antique Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

A stunning quality mahogany inlaid Late Victorian writing desk. The back with an ormolu gallery and foliate marquetry inlaid hinged serpentine end compartments which open to reveal well fitted stationery and pen compartments, above two dummy drawers. Having a velum green gilt and blind tooled leather inset writing surface. The central rectangular frieze drawer again with foliate marquetry inlaid detail flanked by two serpentine end drawers with solid brass swan neck handles, supported on four square tapering solid mahogany supports with trailing harebell inlaid detail, terminating in brass socket castor's circa 1890-1900

Dimensions: 43" wide x 22.5" deep x 40" high (knee hole 25" high x 17" wide)

Condition: This desk is in excellent condition, re-polished and replacement leather
