Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
It came from a house in Penzanze so has obvious Newlyn influence but there is no mark from the Newlyn school
This is most unique beautifully decorated with the nautical scene of fish and boats, the quality is just breathtaking.
The bronze is bright and crsip having been restored and the hammered style decoration really does stand out.
It measures 50cms high including the shade, 36cms without the shade and the shade diameter is 33cms.
An extraordinary piece which can be placed anywhere in the home, an item which will give great pleasure for many years to come and a perfect gift.
It has been rewired by a fully qualified electrician and ready for immediate use.
