Antique Early Victorian Mahogany Leather Top Writing Table Desk

Description

Fabulous original antique early Victorian writing table in good condition, dating to around the 1840 period. It's mahogany, with a lovely original colour & patina. This desk has a tooled leather top, two drawers with locks, well turned fluted legs culminating with original brass capped casters & the back is polished too, so it can be free standing. This is a good solid, well made piece of furniture which is naturally distressed in places. This adds to the overall character, so it was polished sympathetically, because we didn't want to spoil the overall look.

Depth - 24", 61 cm

Height - 31", 79 cm

Kneehole Height - 24.8", 63 cm
