Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The headboards stand on castors. They come complete with irons, the “Vono” frames are easily assembled or dis-assembled for storage. A very stylish pair of beds dating from circa 1910.

They would have probably been veneered originally but have been stripped back at some point to a natural wood finish which has been lightly waxed. Scuffs and marks commesnurate with age to the headbroards and a small split to the bottom of one foot. The iron supports have been painted black. Complete with iron rails.
