Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 1930s.
It stands on turned legs joined by a cross stretcher. To the top is a pediment and it has applied carvings to the door fronts. A high quality and elegant vintage bookcase that would look stunning in a hall, study or living room. Dating from circa 1930, the lock is stamped Waring and Gillow and it has a label to the back which reads: “Guaranteed Design & Manufactured at our Lancaster Factory established 1695 Waring & Gillow Ltd” along with a number stamped to the top.
