Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The table is made in Chestnut it has a 4 plank top and sturdy square legs.
The top is very Rustic it is not one for the feint hearted, the surface of the table is now very smooth the crevices been filled to give the gnarled wood a smooth surface, this has then been given a tough transparent finish so that the natural patination of the gnarled wood can be seen clearly and you have a very usable coffee table
There is no mistaking the authenticity of the is wonderful table
The table dates back to the middle of the 19th Century, it is very sound and sturdy
As to condition, this table is very sound, there are no loose joints or wobbles
The table is 26” wide, 61” long and 17” high
